Emma Graham Explores the Healing Garden.
The flowers are blooming, the water fountain is trickling “and” teak benches invite strollers to rest in the newly completed Healing Garden, a Foundation project. “We are very pleased that we exceeded our goal of $89,000,” announced
Arnold Curtis, Foundation Chair. “Community members stepped up to the plate and helped put us over the top. We are especially grateful to
Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation for their generous grant of $25,000.”
Phil Penttila, Team Leader, North Coast Operations, Western Timberlands for Weyerhaeuser Company in Seaside, served as Community Champion for the project. Donors contributing $1,000 or more are members of the
Seedling Society.
The Healing Garden and adjacent Visiting Lounge were dedicated at a ceremony on October 9, 2003. The Healing Garden is located on the grounds of Columbia Memorial Hospital and is open to everyone. The public is encouraged to visit.
