The Columbia Memorial Hospital Foundation will form a Development Council to increase its ability to support the needs of community healthcare. The CMHF Development Council will expand the scope of the Foundation’s outreach to the community through enhanced opportunities for philanthropy.
Brenda Penner will be the Development Council’s Chair, and will work with the Foundation Board of Directors and its Executive Director, Janet Niemi, to establish the program.
The Development Council will provide the means for growth and success through community support for new facilities, progressive technologies, and thoughtful services. As CMH plans for the future, an essential component is growth, through strategic expansion. The recently opened Health & Wellness Pavilion is a part of this growth. The next improvement will be the Surgical Centre for Excellence, which will expand and unify the surgical suites. The Development Council will play a large role in leading community support for meeting the increasing health and wellness needs of local families in the years to come.
